S.M.A.R.T. details tab shows all available information about S.M.A.R.T.
attributes of the chosen HDD. It contains:
Attribute description (short text description
of attribute).
Graphical representation of attribute value by
standard Windows "progress bar". If you point the mouse cursor
on it you'll see a more detailed attribute description (if available).
Speed of attribute change (lowering) - how many
points each month the value is decreasing. This factor is calculated automatically
at any change of S.M.A.R.T. attributes for each attribute individually.
Calculations are daily so there's nothing strange in factor variations,
especially immediately after an attribute change.
Attribute value - current value of S.M.A.R.T.
attribute.
Threshold (critical) value of attribute - value,
which disk manufacturer means as critical - an achievement of this value
means that HDD fail is very probable.
T.E.C. - Threshold Exceeds Condition - supposed
date when this attribute achieves threshold value, in other words probable
date of end of HDD life. Prognosis of this date based on the factor "Speed
of attribute change" (described above), so don't be surprised at
variations of T.E.C. date, especially immediately after S.M.A.R.T. attribute
change. Also look at the Disclaimer section.
Worst attribute value - worst ever (lowest) value
of this attribute during all life of this HDD. Use it only for information.
Raw attribute value - just the raw attribute value
as reported by the HDD. What this means in each attribute is a manufacturer's
secret. Logically, "Power On Hours" must be the total hours
that HDD is on. But, we repeat, there is not ANY official documentation
about it.
